Culture at Coopers

This February, Coopers Square Shopping Centre is bringing the art gallery direct to you, with an exclusive pop-up exhibition, giving Burton shoppers the opportunity to view the latest works from local artist, Alistair Kennedy.

The ‘Culture at Coopers’ exhibition which launches on Monday 6th February,  will give shoppers the exclusive opportunity to view recent works and meet the artist to discuss everything from his inspiration to the techniques he uses to create his pieces.

Alistair will be showcasing paintings from his series of work titled ‘Unobtainable Landscapes’ which will include semi-abstract, expressive and textural landscape paintings, in a two week exhibition at Coopers Square Shopping Centre.

Based in Burton upon Trent, Alistair is a painter and mixed media artist. His work spans a multi-disciplined approach, which includes film, installation, photography and painting. Much of his work is based on aspects of landscape and the self.  Alistair is the Creative Director and organiser of the PINT Contemporary Arts Festival, which is to be to be hosted across a network of pubs and breweries in Burton-on-Trent later this year.
